The education agreement

This is the agreement every student completes before the first paid hour. The terms are public and identical for everyone: I sell knowledge and ideas — not results, and not actual plays. Read each term, check each box, and sign by typing your full legal name.

Education only. Sessions provide general trading education — market mechanics, order types, options concepts, position sizing, risk frameworks, process and journaling, and worked examples from the instructor's own published record. Nothing in any session is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. What I will never receive. No instructions to buy or sell any security; no entries or exits for my account; no trade alerts, signals, or “plays”; no portfolio advice tailored to me; no account management; no promise of profit. If I ask “should I buy it?”, I will be taught a method of analysis and the decision stays mine. The instructor’s own published record — on joeytrades.com and in the #fills channel of the Discord — reports trades he has already made. It is not an alert, not a recommendation, and not directed at me. No professional relationship. The instructor is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, accountant, or attorney, and holds no financial licenses. No advisory or fiduciary relationship is created by lessons, payment, or anything on joeytrades.com. Risk and results. Trading involves substantial risk, including total loss. My trading decisions and their outcomes are entirely my own responsibility. Results vary; the instructor's published record guarantees nothing about my results. I will consult licensed professionals for personal financial advice. Fees. Tuition is $200 per 30 minutes, paid for instruction time. It buys knowledge and ideas, not outcomes; no refunds are owed based on trading results. Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release the instructor from liability for losses arising from my own trading decisions, and I agree not to characterize anything from sessions or joeytrades.com as a recommendation made to me.
